The Renaultsport Megane Returns

The highly anticipated Renaultsport Megane 250 is due to be released early next year, and even the announcement of its price tag is a news worthy item for those patiently awaiting its arrival.

For the true car enthusiasts out there, the 'Cup' version - offering up 247bhp, a 2.0 litre turbo engine, proper mechanical limited slip diff and a suspension set up with stiffer springs and dampers - will set you back 22,000 pounds sterling, and more if you want the extras!

Top Gear warns us that this newly awaited model is loaded with gadgets to make us want to break all speed limits - including three way traction control with a collection of different settings, a "Renaultsport Monitor" which allows you to see exactly what your engine is doing including acceleration and g-force stats, and throttle mapping too!
