California's Cars To Be Heat Resistant!

Last week The Air Resources Board stated that as of 2012 all cars must be fitted with special windows that either reflect or absorb the California sun's powerful heat.

They expect that this new measure will drastically reduce the need for air conditioning and therefore reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 700,000 tons, the equivalent of taking almost 140,000 cars off the road.

The great news is this technology is expected to cost only US$70 per car and should save motorists US$16 per year on gas! Time for a new windshield?
